What destination archives do you support?

We can support most popular email archives that consume per mailbox PST and .eml files

What data types can you migrate? What about Instant Messages?

At present, Mimecast limits us to email data only.

I have specific archive features like tagged email and retention. Do you support those?

We have a comprehensive services engagement mapping features in a like-for-like manner.

Do you migrate folders?

Due to Mimecast limitations, all received and sent mail are stored in the destination Inbox and Sent Items folders, respectively.

Do you migrate leaver data?

Mimecast leaver mailboxes are fully supported.

How long does it take to migrate?

Mimecast limitations apply a throttle of around 1TB per week. We’re about 7 times faster than that at 1TB per day.

Can I choose what to migrate?

Yes, you can! We support migration by mailbox, date range, domain or single message ID

Mimecast uses Journaling, which catches “everything” – can you export in journal format?

Yes! We can export to per mailbox PST files, or provide a journal “dump” to hand off to your new archive vendor.
